What I learned from my “Chuck” trip to WonderCon
Contains a few Spoilers!
From the Preview:
- Chuck’s dad, played by Scott Bakula, is named Stephen J. Bartowski
- Big Mike is bangin’ Morgan’s mom.
- Big Mike is possibly going to upgrade Morgan’s employee status at the Buy More
- It’s funny to hear Emmitt Milbarge say “Well bring it on bitches!”
- Awesome has a bachelor party that John Casey actually attends! The strippers are not what they had hoped for so I’m thinking Jeff and Lester had something to do with it?
- Agent Forrest seduces Captain Awesome and it looks like he enjoyed it.
- We saw scenes from versus the Beefcake, which airs tonight.
- While outside of the Ellie and Chuck’s apartment, we see Sarah telling Chuck, “Ellie is watching, we better sell it.” Hmm… rough times for Charah?
- Charah moment: Chuck to Sarah: “I just want to be able to tell Ellie the truth. About who I am and what I do and how I really feel about you. I can’t believe how much the United States government has hurt the people that I love.”
Sarah: “Well maybe it’s time for the United States government to help you.”
- Sarah helps Chuck find his dad. Before Chuck’s dad opens the door to his trailer, it looks like Chuck and Sarah were having a little moment.
- The last time Ellie saw her dad was when he told her he was going to go make some pancakes.
- Chuck talks to Ellie about forgiving their dad because he’s all they’ve got. What does this mean? No Mama Bartowski? Where are all the moms at?
- Another Charah moment: Chuck: “I am going to get this thing out of my head, one day I will, and when I do, I will live the life that I want with the girl that I love.” Me?
- Arnold Vosloo is a bad ass who asks Chuck why he would tell his team not to bring guns on a mission. Chuck answers: Guns make things too easy and I like my spies to be tough. Queue Casey firing his gun at Arnold Vosloo’s character. Chuck to Casey: “You had a gun?” Casey to Chuck: “I always have a gun.”
- Chuck to possibly go in a bunker? Or does Beckman just want a ‘hang out’ buddy?
- Ted Roark has a scene where he tells his men to kill the CIA agent (Chuck). Stephen Bartowski replies: he’s my son! To that TR says: “Congratulations! Kill his son.” Read the rest of this entry »

Following news this week that Nicole Richie would be guest-starring on the upcoming season of NBC’s Chuck, EW.com has learned that Boy Meets World’s Ben Savage has been cast as Richie’s spouse on the spy series. Fred’s younger brother will return to the small screen as the neurotic husband of Richie’s character, a former high school classmate of Sarah Walker (Yvonne Strahovski). If Chuck producers are interested in raiding World alums, we think Topanga (Danielle Fishel) would make a great femme fatale. Just a thought.

NICOLE RICHIE (‘THE SIMPLE LIFE’) COMPLICATES LIFE WHEN SHE GUEST-STARS ON NBC’S ‘CHUCK’ AS SARAH’S HIGH-SCHOOL NEMESIS
BURBANK, Calif. – June 25, 2008 – On a new episode of NBC’s returning drama “Chuck” (Mondays, 8-9 p.m. ET), Special Agent Sarah Walker (series star Yvonne Strahovski, “Gone”) gets a bad blast from the past when she comes face to face with her high school nemesis — played by guest star Nicole Richie (“The Simple Life”) — for broadcast this fall.
Richie will guest-star in the episode as the snarky and spiteful girl who tortured Sarah in school — and now Sarah must face her fears when she is forced to attend her 10-year high school reunion for a mission with Chuck (series star Zachary Levi, “Less Than Perfect”) as her date.
 
“Nicole auditioned for the part and was very funny,” said executive producer Josh Schwartz. “This role is a great opportunity for her to show off her comedic skills and be diabolically evil and kick some butt. It’s going to be really fun.”
Richie recently was featured in cover stories for People magazine and Harper’s Bazaar. Touted as a style icon, her fashion statements are regularly featured online, in print and on entertainment news shows. In addition to “The Simple Life,” on which she co-starred with Paris Hilton, Richie has guest starred on shows such as “8 Simple Rules … for Dating My Teenage Daughter” and “American Dreams.” Richie is also launching a jewelry line, House of Harlow 1960, in the upcoming fall.
“Chuck” is a high-concept action comedy that follows Chuck Bartowski (Levi), a regular twentysomething whose life is thrown into disarray after his friend, a CIA agent, sends him an e-mail which results in the world’s secrets becoming embedded in his mind. Chuck is just an ordinary guy who spends his days solving problems at an electronics store with a band of nerdy cohorts and longing to find a woman who can appreciate him. He never asked to become the government’s most powerful weapon, but suddenly the fate of the country lies in his unlikely hands. Agents Sarah Walker (Strahovski) and John Casey (series star Adam Baldwin, “Serenity”) are assigned to protect him.

As we already know, Michael Strahan is starting his post-football TV career with FOX. But what about his career as a fictional character? According to the Star-Ledger, Strahan already has filmed a spot on the NBC comedy/drama (or dramady, if you will) Chuck.
“When the cameras rolled, Michael was really, really funny,” said Josh Schwartz, the show’s creator and executive producer. “Everyone on the set was completely blown away. Broadcasting or acting, he’s got a future.”
In the episode, slated to air on Oct. 20, Strahan plays the manager of the Mighty Jock sporting goods store in the mall where Chuck and his co-stars work.
Although the plan was for a one-time cameo, Schwartz told the Star-Ledger that bringing back Strahan’s character, Mitt, isn’t out of the question.

Chuck star Zachary Levi got an earful of advice from Donald Trump on how to improve his recently renewed show during its second season. Trump suggested that show’s production design incorporate the use of more solid gold features like desks and buildings, random firings (quoth The Donald, “People love it when it’s somebody other than them getting fired”), guest appearances by Gene Simmons and, most importantly, lots of sexy girls. Levi explained that there was a sexy girl on the show, but Trump interrupted and said that she’s not NEARLY sexy enough and suggested that they replace her with his daughter, Ivanka.
