NBC have put a great little video on the Chuck site of behind the scenes of Chuck versus the Beard. Its a little video that they have put together of the cast (Yvonne, Sarah L and Ryan) talking about being directed by Zac.  Zac talks about his debut as a director too.

Thanks to NBC for the video.

THIS IS REALLY THE BEST SHOW EVER!! I have enjoyed CIA/KGB/spy genre movies forever. “Chuck” is right up there with “Bond” in that the shows are never really are 100% serious. And it is the humor, mixed with spy themes, and a liberal sprinkling of romance that makes this series so special to so many viewers.

Let’s hope for season four and five and on and on and on.

Again, many thanks for posting these NBC mini-behind-the-scenes – as on this site, these clips “work” outside US, to crazy mad Zach fans like me ;-) can Zach get more cooler than as a director/actor/great guy :-)

  5. Zach did an incredible job on his directorial debut episode. Obviously the good writing didn’t hurt, but if he had anything to do with the comedic timing and choice of camera movements in this episode I hope to see him direct even more next season. The episode was my favorite so far, and I have said that about each preceding episode! I really feel like the show is culminating around a few key events that seem small they have rocked the viewers understanding of their beloved characters. I also went into this season thinking that the mentality of the writers had changed to a “nothing is sacred” type of mindset, however I have been pleased to find out that nothing could be further than the truth. The writers know how much we love the characters and as Chuck, Awesome, and Morgan become closer buds, Chuck’s relationship with Sarah will become more serious as well. As evidenced by this latest episode, Chuck always loved her. I love that the premise of what makes this show great relies on that simple truth. Anyway, keep up the good work Zach and I wish ‘Chuck’ a long and happy life on NBC!

My short thoughts: Zachary, PLEASE DO MORE DIRECTING – you were fabulous in this episode bring back the best of Chuck S1 & S2 comedy/action (dramedy ?) feel. You are one talented guy and I hope you get more opportunities to direct and act in quality shows and movies :-)
