UPDATE: Looks like we are waiting until May 19 to hear NBC’s decision on Chuck.

definitely exciting news, but I’m a little confused. Just a couple of hours ago we weren’t even going to hear anything for another week or 2. How accurate is this information?

I want so badly to believe this. It would be so great if Chuck was being renewed and we received confirmation this monday. Unfortunately, I feel the news we got from Zack earlier referencing information from Josh Schwartz is closer to where things actually stand though. Renewal is still probably being debated and we probably wont be hearing anything for sometime.
With that having been said, i am still confident, no matter how long we have to wait, the news we do end up hearing will be positive. Chucks ratings are decent enough for renewal. The fact that us fans have rallied the way we did (and are continuing to do so) simply solidifies the deal. Chuck HAS to come back and i think it WILL!
Lets keep the SAVE CHUCK campaign going and make sure NBC Saves our Show. Go CHUCK!

Man I hope so, that would be awesome!!!! Though after this season’s finale I’m a little unsure where you are going with it all. I hope Scott Bacula is a permenate character as well.

The link is for the article that and from the message board comments aprear to have been written starting a week ago on April 26, so I don’t think that this article gives me the hope that I’m counting on right now. My biggest fear right now is that “Chuck” fans are coming across in passion that is interpreted as get-a-life, whack-job fan. I can’t help my own obsessive behavior, but I haven’t had such enjoyment of a television program in such a long time, so naturally I want that fun to continue. What a shame to have to grovel, cry, plead and beg to NBC, only to see that interpreted as a “fan,” a problem that usually just goes away. In the meantime, I see several hours of the Sunday night schedule for tonight with two hours of “Dateline NBC,” and two hours of “Celebrity Apprentice,” that could be easily cut in half, so don’t tell me there isn’t room on the grid for “Chuck!”
Let’s hope that NBC will really DO IT on Monday (THIS Monday – May 4th!!). So many conflicting stories – hopefully they “saw the light” and made a decision. This web site, others like it, and especially WE LOYAL FANS who have been giving CHUCK more “free publicity” for NBC than NBC has done for CHUCK deserve better! “CHUCK” won the USA Today poll for “bubble show” that fans most wanted renewed. The CHUCK fans who contributed videos to CNN’s Ireport have helped make a difference. The Subway campaign. The endless letters and email petitions (there are now up to 33,000 people who have signed the online peitition at petititionspot.com! It’s TIME, NBC! Renew the show! Open up the Saturday Night Live season (an NBC show) with Zach and Yvonne as hosts – quit “advertising” OTHER networks’ shows by putting THEIR shows’ stars on as hosts while neglecting your own! – i.e., Neil Patrick Harris – who is in DIRECT COMPETITION with CHUCK was host last year!! Instead, use the handsome and talented Zach & the stunningly gorgeous and talented Yvonne as “poster children” for this show!! Plaster Zach, Yvonne, Adam and other cast members on Leno (heck – he’s going to be on EVERY NIGHT after all – he’s going to need guests – so start with NBC stars from your own NBC programs). And promote, promote, promote this show like it deserves to be promoted. I don’t know how many peole I’ve met who’ve never really heard of the show, but then once I lend them (or give them as a gift) Season 1 on DVD, they get hooked on it! This show can become the “HIT” that it really deserves to be – and make NBC and Warner Bros. the money they hope to make from it – if NBC FINALLY starts to do THEIR part in advertising & promoting it. Yes, the Superbowl stuff and 3D episode were one good thing, but it takes MORE THAN THAT especially if you’re going to leave the show in the toughest time slot in all of T.V. RENEW CHUCK!! RENEW CHUCK!!! RENEW CHUCK!!! AND DO IT NOW!! And to Zach, Yvonne, Adam, Joshua, Sarah, Ryan, and all the rest of the fantastic cast – and to Josh and Chris, the show’s creators – THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for bringing us such GREAT entertainment. It’s the only hour of television that I look forward to with such great anticipation – and I’m always left feeling better after watching it. Isn’t that what TV is supposed to do? Entertain and help lift us up? Yes, cop dramas are fine, but we need to be lifted up as well. There are no more Carol Burnett Shows or Dean Martin Variety hours to do that for us. We need the kind of shows like CHUCK to do it! And that are shows that the entire family can watch, too. Soooo……. Rock on, CHUCK – and everyone involved with it. Those who create it, those whose God-given acting skills bring it to life – and all of us who love it! Long live CHUCK!!! Bring on Seasons 3, 4 and 5!!! C’mon, NBC. YOU CAN DO IT!!!!

Nikki Finke is very reliable but I’m afraid to get my hopes up. We need to keep up the support and not slack over the summer. I hope NBC will show re-runs and we will need to get the ratings up. We need to get the word out. It is encouraging to hear the boxed set numbers from Amazon. Is their one source for all sales of Chuck? Amazon isn’t the only one selling it, and what are the iTunes 1 sales looking like? I just loaned out my S1 to my friend and am trying to get others to watch. I will be going to Subway on Monday too!
Wondering if this could have anything to do with it the change in when Chuck’s renewal would be announced.

Please please please I hope this is true. But like another poster said, we were told it would be awhile before we know anything. I’ve pre-ordered season 2, emailed and sent snail mail asking to save chuck.

My gut feeling is that Chuck will be renewed, but my fear is that the fans might lose momentum over the summer in promoting Chuck.We may win this battle, but if we don’t stay diligent we will lose the war.While we can hope that NBC will make more of an effort to promote Chuck, I suspect it will up to the fan base to continue to heavily promote the show if we want to keep it on the air.Perhaps the next major writing campaign should be to ask NBC to have the cast of Chuck be interviewed on NBC’s Talk Shows? Pretty pathetic that we would have to do this but it is unlikely that NBC will take the initiative on their own.Perhaps a letter writing campaign to the talk shows hosts as well?

Yeah I’m not getting my hopes up until it is officially announced at the Upfronts so. I will do my very best to do “word-by-mouth” marketing/promoting Chuck during the summer. To start it off I did a “Chuck” layout on my MySpace
NBC just announced their “upfront” schedule today (May 4th). No mention of CHUCK. Thanks, NBC, for screwing with us! Renew Southland and Parks and Wreck (whose ratings are the same or worse as CHUCK and whose fans haven’t shown near the loyalty as we CHUCK fans), and either (1) make us wait for a decision that’s already been made, or (2) have already canceled CHUCK and be “too afraid” to announce it. Thanks, either way.
I just don’t understand what NBC is doing. They’re saying that they’re going to wait another couple of weeks before an official announcement on Chuck? I’ve done EVERYTHING and more in all of these campaigns, petitions, letters, footlongs, DVD orders, etc. They’re not getting another penny from me until they tell us one way or another about the future of this show. LET’S BE HONEST – THEY KNOW – THEY KNOW ALREADY IF IT’S COMING BACK OR NOT! They’re just playing around. Not very professional – but then again, we are talking about NBC here – “first to worst” – not hard to figure out why! CW, here I come!

I have to say that this is the FIRST time I’ve ever gotten so involved in the goings on of an American tv show…Gotta say though, Absolutely LOVIN the show, But, Sadly, There hasn’t been much I can do regarding the Save Chuck campaign from all the way on the opposite side of the world, Other than what I’ve already done – Harrassed the online eps, Signed the petition, Sent in emails.
However, I wanna say to all who’ve done their parts to save chuck, On ya mates!!!
Everything will work out fine…NBC WILL renew chuck for a 3rd season, But when it happens, We, The people, HAVE GOT to get the ratings to skyrocket!!!

It’s not faith we’re losing, it’s patience with NBC’s schenanigans (not sure if I spelled that correctly – but you know what I mean!). Oh well, T.V. networks are just like any other corporations – employee (or fan) loyalty doesn’t mean didly squat anymore – so we shouldn’t expect to be treated fairly. Oh, they may renew CHUCK eventually – but not after screwing with us first. That’s the “thanks” you get for giving one of THEIR shows more publicity than any show on TV – and more publicity than they gave the show themselves. And what about all the people – actors/cast/crew employed on the CHUCK show? They’re getting hung out to dry. They don’t deserve this!!! Our “enjoyment” of this great show is one thing. People’s livelihoods are another! ANNOUCE IT NOW – RENEWED OR CANCELED! It’s NOT that complicated – unless of course you don’t know what you’re doing. Oops! I forgot – this IS NBC we’re talking about, after all! Well, it may be down to LOST and Smallville as the only shows I watch on TV! At least THEY’RE coming back for one more season!

renew Chuck! It´s my favorite tv show ..Lots of action, romance, drama … It´s amazing! Zachary Levy is so great, and the rest of the cast. I watch Chuck on the web every week. Lots of latinamericans do the same. Please, renew Chuck, save Chuck!!!!
I hope that NBC will do the right thing on May 19 and renew Chuck. Being a Canadian, I can only watch from a distance as I suspect we don’t count in the ratings battle but I can tell you there are legions of fans up here.
I heard of Chuck via my brother who spoke highly of the show last summer. I began watching it this season and was hooked. It was exactly what I wanted to watch – action, romance, comedy all rolled into one -sorely lacking in this jungle of “reality shows” and not so funny sic-coms. By word of mouth 4 of my friends now watch Chuck – this will grow exponentially as our local channel is running reruns – unlike NBC. We bought Subway sandwiches, added our names to the on-line petition and wrote NBC directly. We wait along with all of you for the news! Our national newspaper reported today that Chuck had been renewed – YEAH! but I guess until we get confirmation from NBC, I will hold off on the champagne!
Chuck is brillant entertainment which has not graced the TV in years dare I say decades – from the superb acting talents of all the cast members (I echo Rick Holy’s posting) Zac, Yvonne, Adam and all the rest of the cast are gems – true gems! THANK YOU all! to the writing which is cohesive, thought-provoking (“what would you do in this situation”), funny, and the seguays are spot on. Thank you all for bringing your major talents to the small screen.
I can only say that we should all buy the DVD’s if you have not done so already and support the cast and crew this way and continue our efforts to ensure Chuck is renewed. All the best!

I hate the fact that Life was canceled. I really Like Damien Lewis since Band of Brothers. Hard to believe the guy is from England.
Hopefully this article is right and the word is Chuck will be renewed. This along with the report from DeadlineHollywoodDaily.com has me feeling good about Chuck’s future.
